It’s important allow yourself enough time to complete all of the tasks that need to be done before the wedding day. This checklist will help you plan your wedding at St. Margaret’s church.

◊ Meet with priest / deacon who is to preside at your wedding. This should be done 6 months to one year before the wedding. The presider may wish to meet with you a number of times in order to help you prepare for your upcoming marriage. He will also assist you in filling out the official Marriage declaration form required of all persons being married in the Archdiocese of Boston, as well as advise you if additional administrative issues need to be  addressed and help you with them.

◊ Attend marriage preparation class – Information is available through the Family Life Office of the Archdiocese of Boston at 617-746-5800 or at www.familylifeboston.com  This should be done at least 6 months prior to the wedding date.

◊ Contact Music Director – Mary Meehan (781-935-7373) – All wedding music must be approved by and arranged through the Music Director.

◊ Contact Carol Cook (978-667-5948) to make arrangement for the wedding rehearsal.

◊ Obtain Marriage License – This is done not sooner than 60 days prior to the wedding date. Marriage licenses may be obtained from the town clerk of any city or town within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
